Project Manager

Ian Stafford is a project manager at Adamantine Energy, focusing his efforts on decarbonization, community engagement strategies, and land use planning. Ian is a realistic-optimist and a firm believer in the role of collaboration: He values building relationships with clients and peers across every stakeholder group. Ian’s professional focus has been forged through 15 years working in the environmental nonprofit space, focusing his efforts on getting people connected to the natural world, building coalitions around land and water policy, providing guidance on land management efforts, stakeholder engagement, advocacy programming, and developing strategic partnerships across Colorado and the southwestern United States. Ian holds a masters degree in environmental policy, and a certificate in ESG and sustainable business strategy from the University of Colorado at Boulder. Along with his efforts professionally, Ian volunteers his time with positions on the Colorado Office of Outdoor Recreation Advisory Council, as well serving on the Board of Directors for Public Lands Alliance.

In his free time, Ian can be found recreating with his partner and their dog, riding his bike on quiet gravel roads, floating down a river in his raft, or cooking up a batch of fried chicken and biscuits. Hailing originally from North Carolina, he has called Colorado home since 2010.
